Amanda Grinter is licensed both provincially and nationally. She is a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT), and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). 

She specializes in Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy with TheraPsil, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy through EMDR Consulting.

Amanda holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counselling from Acadia University, and has over 12 years of experience working in the field of mental health & addictions. She works with adults (18+), either individually or in pairs.

When it comes to her therapeutic approach, Amanda believes that much of our human distress and suffering comes from the disconnection from, or absence of meaning, purpose and significance in our lives. This leads her to have an existential view about many things. Her therapy style is holistic and integrative; seeing the person as a whole and utilizing multiple therapies to understand and address the complexities of each individual.
